Welcome to our Center!
Welcome to Ohio Valley Childcare Learning Center. We thank you for allowing us to join with you in providing for the care and nurturing of your child. All staff members are carefully selected for their child care training and sensitivity to the individual needs of the young child.
I have been working in the childcare field since I began my schooling in 2011. My education is in Early Childhood Studies and Family Human development. I am very active in the early childhood community holding memberships with the National Association of Education for Young Children (NAEYC) along with Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA). With these memberships I attend annual conferences to continue my education and keeping up-to-date on early childhood education. I am also a active board member representing West Virginia Association of Young Children (WVAYC). On this board we advocate for quality childcare in West Virginia.
Our center is open to all children who may benefit from our type of program. We are licensed for 95 children 6 weeks to 12 years old. We provide 4 different programs: Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, 2 WV Pre-k Classroom and Before/After care. We are open Monday thru Friday 7:30am till 5:30pm. Ohio Valley CLC is open year round except for specified holidays.
At Ohio Valley Child Learning Center we believe that environment is the key to creating a joyful place for childhood; and we put a great deal of thought and care into creating those joyful places. In keeping with Reggio Emilia philosophies, our designs consider not only what children need in a space, but how they will use it. We know our center will form an integral part of a child’s earliest learning; and with that in mind, we carefully curate high-quality materials for every center to create beautiful environments with rich, open-ended experiences that nurture development and inspire learning.
